This policy explains how JESCO Asbestos Removal Pty Ltd (ABN 64 660 657 572), trading as JESCO Services and Jesco Building Services (“JESCO”, “we”), handles personal information collected through this website and when you contact us. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• When you send an enquiry: your first and last name, email address, phone number and what you tell us about your project.
• When you call, email or engage us: the details you give us, such as the property address and the work you need.
• When you browse this website: how the site is used (pages viewed, clicks, browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your internet address). Our website host also keeps standard server logs, which include internet addresses.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and plan and carry out work.
• To meet our legal obligations. For example, before licensed asbestos removal work we must notify the work health and safety regulator, and the notice includes the site address and who commissioned the work.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.

We do not sell personal information.

Analytics and cookies

This website uses PostHog to understand how visitors use it. PostHog records pages viewed and interactions such as clicks, and may record visits to help us improve the site; anything typed into form fields is masked in those recordings. PostHog stores an identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage so it can recognise repeat visits, and it keeps this data in the United States. We do not send PostHog your name, email address or phone number. If your browser asks sites not to track you (“Do Not Track”), PostHog does not record your visit. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run our business systems: Google Workspace (email), Vercel (website hosting) and PostHog (website analytics). Some of them store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
• People who help us do your job, such as laboratories that test samples and independent assessors, with only the details they need.
• Regulators and others when the law requires it.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep records of our work for as long as the law and our compliance obligations require, which for asbestos work can be many years. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will reply within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
